At around 7:20pm on Saturday February 4, the woman, in her 20s, was walking through the park from the direction of the underpass, in the area near to the pond and bins. A man approached her from behind, riding a small, dark coloured, BMX bicycle and tried to seize her handbag from her shoulder whilst riding past. A struggle for the bag ensued, but the shoulder strap snapped and the suspect then rode off with the bag. The woman was shaken but suffered no visible injuries.
